Increasing Fees
My letting agent has increased management fees from 8% to 10% without consultation and without giving me the right to cancel without incurring large termination fees. Is this "fair" in the eyes of the law? The contract with agent states that if I cancel mid tenancy, I have to pay termination fees. I maintain that I only cancelled because they tried to "bounce" me into higher fees mid tenancy. They will not talk about it or negotiate.
