Questions & AnswersCategory: Evicting Tenantsvicticm-of-an-agent-trick

Hello experts, I have no written or signed agreement with a letting agent. I just gave him a key for viewing during my holiday. He has not only brought a tenant on the reduced rent but also not passing on the rent he has collected. The agent has established an agreement with a tenant, I think. Also he has asked tenant to not to speak to me again. Later, I found from google reviews that this agent is usually doing this to number of people, seems like he is taking advantage of some loop hole in law. In this situation, when technically there is never been a signed agreement by myself, can I simply evict the tenant by changing locks in his absence? Your sincere and smart advice will be highly appreciated.
